under lease granted by the Crown to produce
to him at a time and place stated in such notice
and, if required, to leave in his custody on
being given a receipt therefor any such receipt
or other document as mentioned in the preceding
sub-section, or the Crown lease, title deeds, or
any other instrument relating tossuch land.
5. (1) Notwithstanding that at the time when
payment is tendered there may remain unpaid any
arrears of Crown rent in respect of the land
to which the tender relates, the Collector may
accept payment of the amount tendered in satis-
faction or part satisfaction of the Crown rent
last accrued due before the date of such tender.
(2) The acceptance of any payment under the
provisions of the preceding sub-section shall not
operate as a bar to the exercise of any rights
of re-entry which may have accrued to the Crown
for any antecedent breach of any covenant in
the Crown lease of the land to which such payment
relates, or for the breach of any condition or
stipulation of any tenancy thereof, or as a bar
to the exercise by the Crown of any remedy for
the non-payment of such arrears as aforesaid
which might have been exercised if such payment
had not been made.
6. If the Collector is satisfied, by the
production of receipts or such other evidence as
he shall, in his discretion, deem sufficient,
that the Crown rent or any part thereof which
accrued due between the 25th December, 1941, and

been duly paid to the occupying power, he shall
make a record of such payment and the same shall
be deemed as between the Crown and the owner a
full and sufficient discharge of the rent due to
